Cuma: Miniature CNC Pipe Profile Cutting Machine

Introducing Cuma, a compact and precise CNC Pipe Profile Cutting Machine designed for efficient and accurate cutting of pipes. Ideal for a range of industrial applications, Cuma offers exceptional versatility with both Plasma and Oxy-fuel cutting capabilities, ensuring high-quality results for your pipe fabrication needs.

Machine Overview & Capabilities

Cuma is a miniature-type CNC system specifically engineered for pipe profile cutting. Its key specifications include:

Pipe Diameter Range: 50 mm to 300 mm (customizable to meet specific requirements).
Wall Thickness: 5 mm to 10 mm.
Pipe Length: Up to 3000 mm (typically requested by customers, but customizable).
Cutting Capacity:
- Plasma: Piercing up to 16 mm, edge cutting up to 25 mm, using a 125 amps Plasma power source.
- Oxy-fuel: 5 mm to 150 mm cutting capacity.
Scalable Power: While the standard comes with a 125 amps Plasma power source, we manufacture higher amperage power sources that offer drastically increased cutting and piercing capacities. Power source amperage selection is flexible and depends on the customer's specific cutting capacity requirements.

Standard System Components:

The Cuma system comes with a robust set of components to ensure precision and reliable operation:

3-Axis Motion System:
- X, Y, Z axes with independent AC servo drives.
- Rotary gearbox for the X-axis.
- Rack & pinion for the Y-axis.
- Precision ball screw for the Z-axis.
- Offers a rapid speed of up to 12 meters/min.
Control & Software: Includes a Flangling or equivalent controller, necessary hardware, motors, drives, software, and drag chain for cables.
Working Area: Standard working area of 3000 mm x 1500 mm (machine area 4000 mm x 2800 mm), which is customizable to suit varied demands. Please note, the cutting bed is to be fabricated by the customer based on drawings provided by us.
Oxy-fuel Cutting Attachment: Equipped with a capacitive auto height controller and an Auto Torch Igniter for consistent and efficient oxy-fuel cutting.
Plasma Cutting Attachment: Features Initial Height Sensing & Auto Height Controller model PMT for maintaining optimal torch distance and cut quality during plasma operations.
HyCUT 125 Plasma Power Source: A 125 amps Hybrid technology-based Plasma power source (Model HyCUT 125) with an air-cooled torch, ready for seamless interface with the CNC Controller.

Robust Machine Structure: The machine structure is built with Hardened and ground rails, specially designed guides, and an MS Frame for durability and stability.

Installation & Support:

On-site Installation & Training: Our engineers provide comprehensive installation, commissioning, and training to your nominated personnel at your site for a period of up to 4 days.
Customer Responsibilities: Customers are required to provide necessary items at the site, such as tools, tackles, cranes, forklifts, etc. Foundation drawings will be provided by us, and customers are responsible for civil work, labor for installation, and fabrication of the cutting bed based on our drawings.
